Tiger Mountain Taijiquan

The martial art of Taijiquan is deeply rooted in the traditions of ancient China. It is based upon the teaching of the Tao Te Ching and the I Ching. The aim of Taiji practice is to develop health and well being through a balanced lifestyle. Through practicing Taiji the internal energy of the body, or Qi, returns to a more natural state of harmony with the environment.

Taiji can be practiced by anyone of any age or physical condition and it can be practiced almost anywhere. By practicing slowly but steadily, the practitioner gains fitness while avoiding injury. Taiji is a gentle method of practice, and is good for those whose physical health has been compromised by illness or injury. Taiji is also great stress buster. In Taiji, the development of mental tranquility is as important as the development of physical skill.

All you need is comfortable pair of sneakers, loose, non-restrictive clothing, and the willingness to practice a little bit every day.
